This is the center section of the frame being assembled with the bottom pieces being screwed and glued to the backbone. The waxed paper under the joints insures the frame won't be glued to the table when the adhesive cures. A carpenters square is used to insure the stations are at right angle to the backbone and verticle with respect to the bench surface. Using screws to keep glued pieces together insures that the alignment you checked is still there when the glue is dry.  When completed, the end sections will be added along with the cockpit side panels.

Here the cockpit side panels and the center section backbone ends are secured to the bow and stern sections and the boat is taking shape. The center stations now have a top piece connecting them to the side panels. The once flimsy frame is getting much stiffer.

The frame is now complete with stringers. The 1 x 4 wood that look like seats are temporary spacers that hold the cockpit side panels parallel to each other and insure the seats will fit properly when installed. Note the floor stringers are installed. The starboard sheer stringer is fastened to the frame at the bow end, but not yet at the stern end. The port sheer stringer is completed. The frame will soon be shaped with a plane and/or a sanding block to prepare it to receive the skin panels.
