Motor Controller
The motor controller in the photo is located on the left (port) side of the boat under the deck. This is a relatively dry location with adequate air circulation to cool the unit. The 10 gauge battery and motor wires connect to the screw down terminals on the rear of the unit. The connector on the front provides the electrical inputs from the Pedal Sensors and the speed control in the Control Panel. The voltage to the motor is varied from 0 to 12 volts when the speed control is moved from its aft position to its forward position. This type of control circuit offers 2-4 times the run time of the factory 5 speed selector for a single battery charge. Selecting reverse causes the controller to reverse the power polarity to the motor. The current to the motor is internally limited to 40 amps. There are no options or adjustments in this unit.
KF10-12 Motor Controller P/N 01-2002 $320.00
